Yeah yeah sorry for the delay, I was occupied with real life and writing about lasers the last few weeks With 50% of the votes going to 'A- Explore the Western quadrant of Hyacinth, which our scouts think was the residential area' we have a consensus. This session we rolled a six! Some of the doom and gloom I have planned for you will have to wait I suppose. The Western quadrant is in fact residential in nature, and most of it has been looted and torn apart, but you do find a seed bank of genetically engineered stock that might be valuable. The data scrolls you find show that the seeds are from other 'less successful' experimentation with plant oriented water purifying methods, including a hardy strain of water hyacinth from which the city took its name. Other than the seeds and relevant scrolls you find a bonus cache of salvageable tech in a number of the larger buildings. Luckily this tech was useless to the squatters that had once lived in Hyacinth before the algae or some other danger drove them out. You gain 50 technology from your efforts. Our totals for the week end up as 212.5 food, 2 resource points, 150 technology and 150 population. Our monthly upkeep for population is currently 50 food. The scouts would like to create a more permanent secondary encampment in the residential area using the technology you have scavenged this week, what do you say? A- Establish the scouting forward base in the Western quadrant of Hyacinth, while sending a runner with the scavenged seeds to the Data Haven B- Explore the Eastern quadrant of Hyacinth, closest to the lake C- Explore the Northern quadrant, an area unknown to us D- Head South, which is scary because of how many scouting expeditions have been lost down there. poll.fm/3gicy

I think we ought to hold on to the seeds until we return in mass to the haven. Didn't we lose a few scouts? Also, the toxins in the water source may be related to these plants. I think we should set up a test garden near the water site.

My electricity went out for the weekend, which gave me some ideas for W-A, but definitely made updating this impossible. To tell you the truth I was too busy buying lamps and what have you to even think about it, but I am that much more prepared for the collapse!

You can squeeze seabirds for thier oil so don't worry about outfitting a row boat for whaling.

I am working on a scenario, a short story, two different chapters and I started a new job last week. I keep going 'oh yeah let me update the CYOA' and then either moving on to something else or falling asleep. I will get to it in the next couple of days and then things will be more 'sporadic'.
Luv U.
